Hi, I’m a Navy helicopter pilot (MH-60R) currently preparing for my second deployment. This is the actual packing list I am going to use— just the essentials that matter to me. I’ve organized it as a checklist to use while packing.
When I deployed the first time, I used outdated packing lists that didn’t reflect actual ship life or address challenges female service members face. I either brought too much of the wrong things or completely missed essentials.
This site exists to help fellow service members pack smarter based on my experience and what I have learned from those around me.
Why This List Is Different
